Origin Story

Blom Cycling was born from a contrast. The founder, an artist with a lifelong appreciation for unique beauty, found a new passion in cycling. She quickly discovered that being on the bike-getting closer to nature and escaping the city-created a special flow state, a feeling of full presence she had previously only found when painting.

Cycling feels rich and "maximalist"-full of exploration, fun, and a friendly community having the time of their lives every weekend. Yet, the available apparel was minimalist, serious, and corporate. Blom Cycling was born from this simple realisation: the art on the shirts needed to reflect the life and joy of the actual ride. The solution was direct: translate those unique, nature-inspired oil pastel paintings onto high-quality jerseys to create gear that finally looks and feels as special as the ride itself.

BLOM is rooted in the founder’s South-African heritage. It's the Afrikaans word for flower, and is also informally used as a word for chilling or relaxing.
